Membership Status

CAA recommends a voluntary PAC contribution of $100, and a voluntary Legal Fund contribution of $50. However, any contribution is appreciated. CAAPAC makes political contributions to State and Local candidates and other political committees who recognize the importance of growth and protection of the rental housing industry in California. CAA Legal fund is used to cover legal costs associated with defending property owner's rights in court. Please note that the portion of your dues allocated to CAAPAC are NOT deductible for tax purposes. Also, in accordance with the “Revenue Reconciliation Act of 1993” 45% of the remaining portion of your membership dues are NOT deductible for tax purposes as they are allocable for lobbying expenditures for the 2023 calendar year.
